FUTURE TECH

Phones appeared in the market close to two decades ago as the alternative to mobile phones which carry the primary function to enable only two-way communication by text or calls. The smartphones of today have other extended capabilities including in-built high-quality camera lenses, mobile apps that aid productivity, video-streaming as well as connectivitiy that enable millions to stay connected while on the go. It’s exciting to expect these features in our future smartphones.

1.  Augmented Reality

                           
The term "Augmented Reality"refers to what we perceive through our senses enhanced through the use of computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics and GPS data. Simply put, AR makes available more information for us users by combining computer data to what we see in real life. Using the camera on your phone, you can point it somewhere ‘live’ to get an information overlay of where you can find the nearest cafes or dining places, for example.
In its current state, AR technology uses your Android phone's camera to view the surrounding environment and overlays additional digital data.It will no doubt achieve so much more. You could point your phone at a street of restaurants, and your device could pull data from Google reviews and overlay it on screen.

2. Cognitive Intelligence 

A cognitive computer combines artificial intelligence and machine-learning algorithms, in an approach which attempts to reproduce the behaviour of the human brain. Instead of being programmable in a traditional sense within machine language or a higher level programming language such a device learns by inputting instances through an input device.
In general, the term cognitive computing has been used to refer to new hardware and/or software that mimics the functioning of the human brain.
Examples of such real-world use cases include the following:
Speech recognition apps.
Sentiment analysis apps .
Face detection apps.
Cognitive Intelligence  "A computer that thinks".

3. Transform any surface into touchscreen 

                        

The technology was found on a smartphone known as the Smart Cast and it not only allows you to put videos and photos onto walls, but also transforms smooth surfaces, keyboards, musical instruments and more into touchscreens.
Lenovo introduced a smartphone prototype last year which, thanks to an integrated laser, can turn any flat surface into touchscreen.
 

4. 3D Display

   

                                 

Holographic displays are unique from other forms of 3D imaging in that they do not require the aid of any special glasses or external equipment for a viewer to see the image.
Holographic projections will mean a combination of 3D smartphones and projections from the smartphone. If you want to talk about the potential of holographic projections in smartphones, it’s great. 3D displays can be integrated with elements of movements when it comes to user interactions with the phone. Viewing 3-D and 360-degree images won’t be a problem on your future phone. You’ll either pop your smartphone into virtual-reality goggles or look at them right on the display as a 3-D hologram.

5.Built-in Projector 

                    

Future smartphones can actually be turned into an interactive gaming consoles without a need for a TV screen; all you’ll need is a flat surface. Instead of a physical controller, you can use your body or your voice. A smart camera and a voice control function can capture your movements and voice commands to let you interact with objects and future smartphones on the projected screen.

6. Retina Scanning

                

Probably some years before if i tell people that 5 years later i would have a fingerprint scanner im my phone, they would start to laugh. Same is the condition here ,today i, sayimg that some in future we will have iris scanner in our phones , you will thinking im kidding. Iris scanner in everyday phones is a near possibility.

Fujitsu has developed a technology that will be able to scan your iris, in order to identify you and unlock your smartphone or make a payment, for example. Fujitsu claimed that this technology is much more accurate than a fingerprint reader and a retina scan is also harder to reproduce (or fake) than a fingerprint, but is an advanced security feature, really all that exciting?As far as we're concerned, anything that could remove the need to input passwords is worth investing in. It was reported that Fujitsu's Arrows NX F-04G smartphone could identify you in less than a second using Fujitsu's Iris Passport tech. If that's really the case, we could soon be waving goodbye to passwords for good, thanks to this fast and secure identification technology.
